Carolina's Oracle Hyperion User Group Member,
It’s time again to make plans for joining us at the next Carolina's Oracle Hyperion User Group meeting in on Friday, March 26th in Charlotte, NC. We are again collaborating with the Eastern States Oracle Applications User Group (ESOAUG) to extend the meeting to the Oracle Application users and members, so please feel free to invite and pass along this meeting information to all of your Oracle users. This meeting will focus on one track with alternating ESOAUG and COHUG speakers and presentations in order to provide all of our members the latest key information and knowledge across the Oracle technology and application platforms.
We hope you will be able to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to meet your peers in other organizations, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest trends and best practices surrounding Oracle Applications, Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence solutions. Jim Piper - The Pantry
Jim Piper is Financial Systems Manager in Corporate Accounting at The Pantry, Inc. Jim has been employed by The Pantry for the past 9 years. Areas of responsibility include project management, training, support, and administration for financial tools and software applications, including Hyperion. Jim serves as administrator for all Hyperion Essbase reporting cubes, including the data and metadata ETL processes feeding Essbase. As the Pantry project lead on new Hyperion projects and working closely with the IT development team, Jim’s responsibilities also include creating all financial reports based on management requirements, generating month-end reports for over 300 users, providing support to end-users and working closely with Budgeting and Planning team to ensure Hyperion Planning is meeting their needs and operating optimally. Prior to working at the Pantry, Jim worked as a consultant for 5 years implementing Infinium software at Coca-Cola bottlers around the U.S. Applications included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Report Writer.
Presentation Title: Learn about the implementation of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View and Financial Reporting Solutions at The Pantry for daily GL reporting & analysis, period end reporting & analysis and monthly budgeting, forecasting and planning.

Jason Little is a Partner and Vice President of Analytic Vision, a full service Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management Consulting Company. Jason has 16 years of experience in the industry and provides thought leadership, advisory services and leads a team of consulting and sales professionals who focus on Oracle based technology solutions. He spent 6 years in the financial services and banking industry where he was responsible for global implementations of profitability, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting systems using Oracle-Hyperion products. He spent 8 years working at Arbor Software and Hyperion Solutions as a global infrastructure and Essbase domain expert along with various pre-sales and sales management roles.
